I've been back at work now for two weeks, so the blog posting has dipped down a bit on the priority list. The transition's been a good one, though: Lucy is doing very well at day care, and I'm happy to be spending my days with adults again. It does make me appreciate the time at home with Lucy and Elliot all the more, though.
In other news, Elliot, Lucy, and I have been visiting my grandmother once a week. She continues to love seeing Lucy. Here's a photo from when we visited during the dinner hour a couple of weeks ago. Despite her cranky face in this photo, Lucy was in pretty good spirits and was wildly popular with the other diners.

Lucy in the Berkshires
Lucy's having her first weekend in the Berkshires, and so far she's loving it. Elliot's parents watched her last night while we went to Great Barrington for a nice dinner out. It was the first time I'd had more than one glass of wine in over a year! To top it all off, she's been sleeping for almost 10 hours. Heaven...

Daddy's 5k
Elliot ran a 5k this morning (he's sporting the free tank top he got in the photo below) and Lucy, his parents, and I went to cheer him on. Lucy even wore the "Jogging Team" t-shirt Elliot wore about 30 years ago when his dad was running a lot. Elliot did very well, and Lucy was thrilled to offer her moral support. Go, Daddy!
Explo Open House
Explo had an open house yesterday, and Lucy and I went to hang out with all our Explo friends. She even made lip balm! Here she is hanging out with Elliot on the reception desk...

Lucy's Mikveh
Lucy went to the mikveh yesterday and had her conversion immersion. It was a wonderful experience for all three of us, and Rabbi Lev Baesh - the rabbi who married us - officiated. Lucy had to go under three times, which was a bit of shock for her, but she recovered well from each dunk, and didn't get fussy until after she was back in her street clothes again. Here are the three of us in the mikveh:
And a shot of her post-immersion looking...contemplative?
