Yesterday, Lucy went to hang out with her Aunt Melissa while I helped welcome some of the Explo students to campus, and she got to bond with her favorite dog, Sidda, again! Here they are scoping each other out. And if you're curious about what Elliot's up to, you can check out the Intermediate Program's summer website.

Ensconced at Wellesley
Elliot, Lucy, and I have moved to Wellesley College for the next six weeks. Lucy's really taken to the change (hence the onesie - thank you, Sharon!). She has been sleeping like a champ and is now able to purposefully roll over from her belly to her back. The first stab was quite effortful, but once she'd mastered command of her legs to push off, she was able to repeat the trick several times in a row.
Lucy also had a good check-up at the pediatrician on Friday. She's now 14 lbs. 15.5 oz, 26 inches long, and has such a big head that she's off the charts for her age. It's the average size of a seven-month old's head!
Finally, Lucy's been cleared to start eating food. Her nutrition is still going to be coming from milk, but she dabbled with some oatmeal this morning at breakfast. Most of it ended up on her lips and chin, but she thought it was a blast nonetheless.

Daddy!
It's been a little while since we were able to post anything, but I'm hoping to be better now. Here's a delightful shot of Lucy and Elliot playing together before bedtime. She thinks his beard's this best.

Lucy's Doggy Friend
Lucy's got lots of friends: her hand, her blanket, the other babies at daycare, to name just a few. But we're so glad that she also has her doggy friend, Sidda, who is her Aunt Melissa's dog. Sidda clearly likes Lucy too.
The Lucy Shuffle
To further illustrate Lucy's vocal abilities...I present "The Lucy Shuffle." I expect it to hit the Top 40 in no time, and a national tour to follow.

Escaping the Swaddle
Every night, we swaddle Lucy in her miracle blanket - it really has helped her sleep through the night. As she's gotten bigger, though, she's started escaping by morning. Here she is having wiggled herself out of the blanket...we call her Houdini.

Playdate with Milo
Lucy and Milo got to hang out on Memorial Day - they don't do a lot of talking yet, but we figure they'll make up for it later. Here they are hanging with Elliot and Victoria...
